Karen "Bima" Kopoian, 66, of Smithfield, RI, passed away on January 27, 2022. Bima was born in Pawtucket, RI to Geneva (Lambert) Palmer and Nishon Kopoian on April 7, 1955. She enjoyed road trips, spending time with family, especially her many grandchildren, listening to her country music and watching true crime stories.
Bima is survived by her four children, Ayana Kopoian of Atlanta, Ga, Mark Harrop of Cumberland, RI, Nathan Matthews of Pawtucket, RI, and Tina Harrop of North Smithfield, RI, as well as her sister Deborah Palmer and brother Leon Palmer. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, Joshua Case, Audrey Case, Siddeeq Brantley, Kassandra Gagnon, Phenix Chattman, Akoda Ocean, Kayla Harrop, Christopher Doire, J-Marie Smith, Kahli Smith, Elliot & Edie Matthews, Jace Harrop, Millianna King, Hercules Kopoian, Ava Harrop, and Amelia King. She is preceded in death by her parents Geneva (Lambert) Palmer and Nishon Kopoian, her siblings, James Palmer, Ronald Palmer, Francis Palmer, Eileen (Palmer) Levesque, Gertrude (Palmer) Desautels, Pauline Palmer, and her beloved daughter, Rhonda Case and her grandson, Liam King.
Funeral service will be held at Keefe Funeral Home on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 11:00am. Live streaming will be available. (The video stream window will appear on this page, below Karen's obituary at 11:00am on Friday). Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave, Pawtucket, RI. Visitation will be held at Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Keefe Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Sojourner House Inc, 386 Smith St, Providence, RI 02908.
